Authenticity On A Monday (Thru Sunday)

No matter what: Be who you are, not who you’re not. Being who you’re not wastes everybody’s time. Everybody’s. Time. And that’s just plain disrespectful (especially to yourself).

Be grateful for what you have, instead of focusing on what you don’t. There will always be folks who have more/less than you.

Don’t second guess what you feel in your heart. Your heart in the end will rule.

TZB Project 365 (Day 72) – Let It Go, Let It Be.

If you’re anything like me (and for your sake I hope you’re not 🙂 ), trying to control my feelings and reactions as well as other people’s feelings and reactions can be a full time job!  I am in sales and nothing bothers me more than knowing someone doesn’t approve of me or like me or how I do things.  It bothers me so much sometimes that I’ll obsess about ways to fix it until that certain someone can like me again.  (Very unZen, I know). 

So I’ve concocted an exercise to help me let go:

I think about who I am and I say to myself, “I am a kind, helpful, decent and honest person and I always try my very best to be the best version of myself I can be.  This is the best I can do for myself and those around me, and others will choose to accept me or not, but that is not my concern”.

Let it go, let it be.

TZB Project 365 (Day 51) – No Discounts Here!

Hey Zenful Dancers! Here’s a short exercise you can do when you have a few minutes:

The next time you feel like discounting yourself (and your thoughts and feelings) try these three things in this order:

1. Stop and focus on your breath. Follow it in and out for about one minute.

2. Close your eyes and smile from the inside out for about a minute.

3. Say to yourself “I am a good, kind, wonderful and worthy person and I will live my life with a joyful open heart which has more than enough space for me and everyone that crosses my path.”
