Red Light… Green Light!

stop-wait-go

Wait… wait… wait… GO! Wait… wait… wait… GO! GO!! If this sounds anything like familiar to you than either you’re an expert “Red Light Green Light” gamer or you have encountered the hurry up and wait challenges that life often brings.

Living in NYC, my level of patience tends to fluctuate between absolutely nothing, and when I am mindful, slightly more than very little. This of course doesn’t leave much for my 9 million fellow New Yorkers I share the space with. It certainly doesn’t leave much for my coworkers and colleagues, and at the end of the day, there’s almost nothing left for my loved ones, friends and family.

Since this is ultimately a post about life balance and community, I’d love your input on how you find your patient place. How do you snuggle up to the red lights when you already have all the adrenaline rushing through your veins from the green? Do tell! Wait… ok yeah, please share. ūüôā

The Zenful Blogger Gets Juicy: Days 9 and 91/2 of 10 On the Juice (Cleanse that is)

Hey there Zenful Dancers!

I’d like to start off by saying that this week’s New Girl episode “Birthday” is great!

Next I’d like to thank the Academy…

Finally I’d like to thank the folks who have reached out over the last 10 days to show their support while I’ve been on this cleanse- you know who are and I appreciate you so very much! ¬†This was a challenging process for me and I honestly don’t think I could have gotten through it without the likes of you! ūüôā

Tonight marks the end of my 10-day cleanse and I celebrated early- wait, what? (oops!) by breaking the fast this afternoon with a delicious granny smith apple. And what an apple it was! ¬†Deeevine! ¬†Deeelectable! ¬†Deeelicious! ¬†Deeelovely (for all my Deeelite fans). ¬†In my experience it’s always best to¬†ease¬†back into¬†eating solid foods¬†slowly, so as not to damage the goods if you know what I’m sayin’. ¬†No, not those goods, silly. ¬†The other goods!

We however, have some unfinished business left to do:  I have more FABULOUS recipes to share with you!

Dying to Dance

I’m on the subway home. ¬†It’s the rush hour commute. ¬†I close my eyes and the lights come up. ¬†The music tonight is Stevie Wonder’s Superstition and all the seated passengers begin to sway in unison. ¬†My feet slide gracefully down the middle of the subway car and my fingers form jazz hands as my shoulders and arms shimmy up to the sky. ¬†Everyone is up out of their seats spinning in cannon and I burst into song! ¬†My eyes gently open and twinkle as I notice a permanent smile pressed onto my face. ¬†

Until tomorrow,

TZB Project 365 (Day 58) – The Blahs

Today was just one of those days where the drab weather outside matched the way I felt inside.¬† I guess I had a day of the blahs.¬† I did my best to have fun but nothing I did today was that “epic”.¬† I gave it my all anyway and that’s all I had to give.¬† That will have to be enough for today.¬† Tomorrow is a new day.

How was your day?

TZB Project 365 (Day 54) – ‘S Wonderful

Quick! Get a pen and paper (or smart phone) and jot this down:

Write one intention for tomorrow. MINE: TO BE KIND TO WHOMEVER CROSSES MY PATH

What’s yours? Write it down.

Look at it tonight just before you go to sleep and again tomorrow morning as soon as you wake up. Let it be your intention for the day.

Let’s check back with each other tomorrow to see how it worked!

Keep on keepin’ on and make it grand!
